firmware blocks that make up the bulk. Press the ENTER or CLEAR key to return to the
previous menu.

The top line shows the current active image. On the lower line, the user may use the
keys to select the other image, then press the ENTER key. A message shows that the unit will
need to be rebooted.

Utilities: Emulation

The CDM-625 modem is designed to be a 'drop-in' replacement for the CDM-600 and CDM-
600L modems. To be able to do this, the CDM-625 has an emulation mode, which may be
configured via remote control, using the remote command mnemonic EMU or, via the front
panel, Utility:Em.
When the modem is emulating another, the top level menu indicates this, as shown below:

Note: While emulating another modem, the I/O responses, including EID, will be exactly as those
expected for that other modem, e.g., CDM-600.
There are some features that the CDM-625 does not support, and hence will not be possible while
in 600 or 600L emulation:
