Working with PFC groups

You can use Performance Control to create PFC groups to manage multiple host bus adapters
as a single group. Each PFC group can contain up to 32 HBAs, and you can create up to 255
PFC groups in the storage system. All HBAs in a PFC group have the same priority. Prioritized
WWNs and non-prioritized WWNs cannot be mixed in the same group.
You can use a PFC group to switch priority of multiple HBAs from prioritized to non-prioritized,
or vice versa. You can also use a PFC group to set the same upper limit value to all HBAs in the
group.

Creating a PFC group

Prerequisites
Required role: Storage Administrator (System Resource Management)
You must enable the Remote Web Console secondary window. For details, see the XP7
Remote Web Console User Guide.
A host bus adapter can belong to only one PFC group. To create a PFC group and add host bus
adapters to the group:
Procedure
1.
Open the Performance Control window.
In Command View Advanced Edition:

On the Resources tab, expand the Storage Systems tree, right-click the target storage
system, and then select Other Functions.
2.
In the displayed window, select Actions > Port/Host Group > Authentication.
3.
In the next displayed window, select Go > Performance Manager > Performance
Control.
In Remote Web Console:
1.
Click Reports > Performance Monitor > Performance Control to open the
Performance Control window.

Click

In the Performance Control window, click Performance Control. The Performance Control
main window appears.
4.
Select the WWN tab.
5.
In the lower-left tree, select and right-click the Storage System folder.
6.
From the pop-up menu, select Add New PFC Group.
7.
In the Add New PFC Group window, enter the name of the PFC group and then select OK.
A PFC group is created and a PFC group icon (
