A logical volume in a storage system that has no physical storage space. Fast Snap uses
(V-VOL)
V-VOLs as secondary volumes of copy pairs. In Thin Provisioning, Thin Provisioning MF, Smart
Tiers, Smart Tiers MF, Real Time Smart Tier, and Real Time Smart Tier for Mainframe, V-VOLs
are referred to as THP V-VOLs.
