High foreline pressure
• Excessive carrier gas flow (typically > 5 mL/min)
• Excessive solvent volume injected
• Large vacuum leak
• Severely degraded foreline pump oil (standard foreline pump)
• Collapsed or kinked foreline hose

• Foreline gauge is not working correctly (diffusion pump MSD only)
