18 On the primary server, restart all VCX services.
a Log in as root. The default password for the root account is pvadmin.
CAUTION: 3Com strongly recommends that customers change this
password on all VCX servers. Guidelines about other passwords and other
security-related issues can be found in the "VCX Security Guide."
b Enter these commands:
cd /etc/init.d
./vcx start
19 On the secondary server, restart all VCX services.

b Enter these commands:
cd /etc/init.d
./vcx start
This marks the end of the outage.
Use the appropriate instructions from this section to replace the disk on a
standalone VCX Connect server and bring the server back into normal
operation.
If this server is configured for RAID operation, see
earlier in this appendix.
1 Replace the failed disk and start the server.
a Remove power from the down server.
b Remove the failed disk.
c Install the replacement disk.
d Reapply power to the server.
e If the server is a VCX Connect 200 server, press the start button on the
front panel. If the server is a VCX Connect 100 server, applying power
to the server automatically starts the server.
2 After the server has started and the login prompt appears, log in as root
and configure networking parameters on the down server by entering
this command:
ERVER
RAID Disk
