The 3Com V6100 Integrated Branch Communications platform provides
a modular solution for branch offices requiring VCX call processing and IP
Messaging services as well as up to four T1/E1 connections to the PSTN or
other PBX's.
The platform can be configured with any combination of one-span and
two-span modules up to a maximum of 4 spans. A four-span module is
also available.
The T1/E1 modules can be configured for connections to Primary Rate
ISDN (Q.931), Q.SIG or R2 signalling circuits with either master or slave
clocking. The V6100 platform can be used with additional external
gateways to support further FXO or FXS connections, or T1/E1 PSTN lines
at the same site.
The VCX IP Telephony and IP Messaging applications and the Media
Gateway are separate functional units housed in the same chassis. The
applications and the Media Gateway must be configured separately.
