Intensity Plot
Start collecting data and check the intensity profile for abnormal data. What you are looking for are unu-
sually large spikes, especially ones that stay fixed along the Y-axis of the plot.
Spikes that don't move are usually fixed objects in the water like rocks or pylons. Spikes that move along
the Y-axis are usually moving objects like schools of fish or logs.
It is important to mount the H-ADCP in a location free from fixed obstructions. The velocity data will be
questionable if the intensity profile shows abnormalities.
