Using the ACW for Loading
Tasks into the EPD
Introduction to the Load Tasks Process
The Load Tasks provides an automated system for loading
additional tasks into the Worker's EPD. The process will
verify the Worker's entry details and EPD details before any
additional Tasks are entered.
Selection of Load Tasks does not provide access to the
Radiologically Controlled Area. The EPD must be issued,
using the Entry Process, before using Load Tasks.
The Load Tasks Process
The Load Tasks Process involves the following steps:
1. Selecting the Load Tasks Process from the main ACW
menu – see Selecting the Load Tasks Process (page 9-
2).
2. Inserting the EPD into the Reader – see
(page 9-2)
3. Entering the Worker details – see

4. Entering the additional Task details – see
the Task (page
5. If the Confirm Task Accept option is enabled in the
System Setup (see A Guide to Using DCS4 Data
Management and Reporting Ref No.
EPD/MHB/61066/000), the Worker Briefed message is
displayed – see
6. If a Mailbox message has been created for the selected
task, the message is displayed – see
(page 9-6).
7. The EPD is issued - see
(page 9-7).
NOTE: TO ADD FURTHER TASKS INTO THE EPD,
THIS PROCESS NEEDS TO BE REPEATED FOR EACH
