This topic describes the process of adding one new Expansion Shelf to an existing
Primary Shelf and Compute Node.
You can also use these instructions to install and connect an Expansion Shelf at
the same time you install a Primary Shelf and a compute node.
Note: If you have a 6TB Expansion Shelf with a 6TB or 3TB Primary Shelf, you
must upgrade to NetBackup Appliance Release 2.7.1, or later. Refer to the
NetBackup Appliance Upgrade Guide for Release 2.7.x - RedHat Enterprise Linux
(RHEL) Operating System, which is located at the following site.

It is not required to turn off an operational compute node and the Primary Shelf
before you add one Expansion Shelf.
