3-10. CHANGING THE FILTER
ENVELOPE
Turn COOK/PUMP switch to PUMP.

When all shortening has been pumped into frypot turn
COOK/PUMP switch off.
IF THERE ARE AIR BUBBLES COMING UP IN
THE SHORTENING, IT'S POSSIBLE THAT THE
FILTER CONNECTION AT THE UNION ON THE
FILTER TUBE IS NOT TIGHTENED PROPERLY.
IF SO, TURN OFF THE PUMP AND USE PROTEC-
TIVE CLOTH OR GLOVE WHEN TIGHTENING
THE UNION. THIS UNION WILL BE HOT AND
SEVERE BURNS COULD RESULT.

envelope should be changed after 10-12
whenever it becomes clogged with crumbs. Proceed as
follows:
1.
Move the COOK/PUMP switch to the OFF position.
2.
Remove and empty the condensation drain pan.
3.
Disconnec t the
from beneath the frypot.
Use protective cloth or glove when disconnecting the
care to prevent splashing, or severe burns could
result.

Lift the
screen assembly from the drain pan.
