3.6 Cleaning activities

3.6.1. Cleaning of Robot Standard and Wash Down

General
The manipulator is tested to fulfill, IP69K according to IEC 529.
DANGER!
Turn off all electrical power, hydraulic and pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!

The capping is lowered into water to fulfil the following conditions.
Standard Cleaning
The telescope on the standard version of IRB 360 is not manufactured for wash down
applications and should only be cleaned by wiping off the dirt and dust using a dry or
moistened cloth. The remaining part of the robot can be cleaned according to instructions for
wash down option.

The water surface should be min. 150 mm above the highest part of the capping.
The lowest part of the capping should be at least 1 m below the water surface.
The length of the test should be at least 30 min.
The water temperature should not deviate more than 5°C from the temperature of the
material. This requirement could be changed by the technical committee in question
if the test is to be done when the material is powered or in motion.
