Process of Parameter Transmission

The parameter data exchange between the application and module is made via
a request/response process. The application initiates an instruction using the
toggle bit (TGL_MS != TGL_SM). Afterward, the application polls the
communication control register (R57) of the module until the module
acknowledges the execution of the instruction (TGL_SM == TGL_MS).

Read/Write Parameters (Module Specific)

Request (application)
Parameter
TGL_MS
PRM_RW
MORE_PRM
A0 ... A7
PRM0 ... PRM15
Response (I/O module)
Parameter
TGL_SM
A0...A7
TIMEOUT
BUF_OFL
PRM_ERR
PRM0 ... PRM15
The module uses the error flags TIMEOUT, BUF_OV and PRM_ERR to
report errors during the parameter data exchange.
After the last parameter data has been sent to the module (MORE_PRM =
FALSE), the module checks the entire parameter set and accepts it if
everything is correct. Otherwise, the module returns a parameter error
(PRM_ERR = TRUE).
