Managing Cisco SCE 8000 Configurations
After you have installed your Cisco SCE 8000 platform hardware, checked all external connections,
turned on the system power, and allowed the system to boot up, you are ready to install the Service
Control application. However, before you install the application, you might need to configure the SCE
platform. Instructions for configuring the Cisco SCE 8000 platform are beyond the scope of this
publication.

The procedures for managing Cisco SCE 8000 configurations are explained in the following sections:

Viewing Configurations

When you enter configuration commands, it immediately affects the SCE platform operation and
configuration. This configuration, referred to as the running-config, is saved in the SCE platform volatile
memory and is effective while the SCE platform is up. After reboot, the SCE platform loads the
startup-config, which includes the non-default configuration that was saved by the user, into the
running-config.
