General System Requirements

1.3.1.2 Detector Head Precautions

Failing to comply with the following instructions could cause irreversible damage to the
detector heads.
The detector heads must be transported in their original packages, which are designed to provide
good mechanical stabilization as well as a certain amount of thermal insulation.
As soon as the detector heads are unloaded from the transportation vehicles, they must be
moved to a temperature-controlled area while still in their original containers, until they are
ready to be installed into the system.
IMPORTANT
The conveyance path from the unloading area to the temperature-controlled area must be wide enough to allow
passage of the detector heads packed in the original containers.
If the temperature in the storage or installation areas differs from that of the delivery route
and/or ambient temperature, a stabilization period of 1 hour per 3°C (5.4°F) difference must
be allowed.
