Setting a narrow roll media
When you use narrow roll media (up to 1m), set the media
on the narrow roll holder.
• When using the media take-up machine, be
careful about the points below:
• At the feeding side, set the printed surface to
"revoluted" (inside out).
• At the take-up side, set the printed surface to
"involuted". (If you set it to "revoluted", it may
adversely affect the media feeding.)

Fix the tension bar of the rear surface side
on the tension-bar lock plate.
• The tension-bar lock plate is on the left side of the
machine rear surface. Raise the tension bar and
fix it with the tension-bar lock plate.

• Be sure to handle the tension-bar gripping outside
of the tension-bar lock plate. Gripping other parts,
your hand may get stuck in.

Set both of "Setting Feeding unit" and
"Setting Take-up unit" of the machine
setting to "OFF".(

Move the roll holder on the back of this
machine.
• Loosen the roll holder fixing screw and then move
it.
• Move the roll holder to the position where the
media may be right seen from the front of the
machine.

Tighten the roll holder fixing screw.
• Check the Steps 2 to 3 again.

Set the left end of the core of the roll media
on the left roll holder.
• Push the roll media onto the roll holder until the
roll core is all the way seated.

Loosen the screw of the right roll holder,
and insert the holder into the paper core.
• When setting long media, the roll holder hits the
rail supporter in the center of the holder.
In this case, unhook a pin from the supporter while
lifting media support bar, remove the rail
supporter, and slide the roll holder. After that, set
the rail supporter again.

Raise the clamp lever in the rear side of
this machine.

Insert the roll media in this machine.

• The roll media can be smoothly inserted by
slanting the media.
(1) Pull the media out of the roll to the head of
the platen.
