From the ADF:
Try one or more of the following:
• Make sure that the paper is inserted correctly on the ADF
input tray. Set the paper guides according to the paper size.
• Open the ADF door, and check if there are debris found on
the paper path. Clear any obstruction on the ADF and exit
tray paper paths.
• Check the paper if it is within media specification. See
"Media input type specifications" on page 1-20
"Media input sizes specifications" on page
Run the copy job again. If there is a problem on the print quality,
then run a test print to verify what is causing the problem. From
the home screen, touch
Demonstration Page. If the print quality problem remains, then
go to
"Print quality check" on page

From the flatbed scanner:
Try one or more of the following:
• Make sure that the paper is properly set on the flatbed
scanner using the reference corner of the flatbed scanner.
• Close the scanner lid correctly.
Run the copy job again. If there is a problem with the print
quality, then go to
"Print quality check" on page

Check if there are debris found on the ADF paper path. Clear
any obstruction on the paper path. Open the scanner assembly,
and check if there are dirt and debris on the scanner glass.
