Printhead recovery warning service check

Step
1
Turn off the printer by unplugging the power. Wait for 10
seconds, and turn on the printer. Run the print job again.
Does this solve the problem?

Open the printer cover, and check for any paper stuck in the
print zone. Clear the paper jam. Clear the print zone from
any obstructions.
Does this solve the problem?

Turn off the printer. Open the printer cover, and check the
location of the printhead assembly. Check the printhead
assembly for any obvious damage. Try moving the
assembly from left to right. Check if it can go to the
maintenance station area.
Note: Manually turn the Pressure Release Arm (PRA) gear
clockwise to release the carrier lock. See
printhead carrier assembly lock (with covers)" on
page
3-21.
Does the printhead assembly move without much
resistance?

Check the encoder strip for any damage or contamination.
Check if it is positioned correctly with the carrier card
sensors.
Is the encoder strip free from any damage?

Check the J18, J19, and J20 cable connectors on the
system board for proper connection and damage. Reseat
the cables.
Are the cables properly connected and free from
damage?
