FACTORY SKEW ADJUST
This option prints the factory skew page to adjust the printhead skew. The skew patterns on the page are
measured using the alignment sensor, and an adjustment value is printed on the page. The user is required to
manually adjust the printhead skew based on the result of this page. See
To perform this procedure:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to FACTORY SKEW ADJUST.
2.
The factory skew page prints.
3.
Touch
Cover and Door Sensor Tests
This tests verify if the cover sensors are working properly.
Possible return values for each test are the following:
Tests
ADF Cover Sensor
PrintZone Cover Sensor
Supplies Cover Sensor
Duplex Cover Sensor
Output Bin Sensor
To perform this tests:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Cover and Door Sensor Tests.
2.
Select a test.
3.
Try to close or open the according to the selected test to see if the sensor can accurately read the current
state.
4.
Touch
Fault HW Test
This checks to make sure the PH Fault Check hardware is able to detect a fault. If this fails, then the system
board needs to be replaced.
To perform this test:
1.
From the Manufacturing Test menu, navigate to Fault HW Test.
2.
Test Complete appears on the display.
3.
Try to close or open the according to the selected test to see if the sensor can accurately read the current
state.
