3. WIRING

3 - 4 Grounding

WARNING
The servo amplifier switches the power transistor on-off to supply power to the servo motor. Depending on
the wiring and ground cablerouting, the servo amplifier may be affected by the switching noise (due to
di/dt and dv/dt) of the transistor. To prevent such a fault, refer to the following diagram and always
ground.
To conform to the EMC Directive, refer to the EMC INSTALLATION GUIDELINES (IB(NA)67310).

Note:1. For a single-phase 230VAC power supply, connect the power supply
1. Ground the servo amplifier and servo motor securely.
2. To prevent an electric shock, always connect the protective earth (PE) terminal

2. To reduce the influence of external noise, it is recommended to ground
the bus cable using a cable clamping fixture near the controller or to connect three
or four data line filters in series.
