CYLINDER HEADNALVES
Remove the cylinder head cap nuts and washers.
NOTE:
Loosen the nut in 2·3 steps in a cr isscross
pattern to prevent cylinder head warpage.
Remove the cylinder head . , . . ..
Remove the cylinder head gasket, dowel pins, and
cam chain guide.
CAM CHAIN GUIDE AND TENSIONER
INSPECTION
Inspect the cam chain guide and tensioner for darn­
age or excessive wear.
Inspect the cam cha in tensioner slipper for damage
or excessive wear .
Replace the tensioner body if the spring is weak or
has been damaged.
