ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
ENGINE REMOVAL
Place the motorcycle on its center stand .
Drain the eng ine oil (page 2-31.
Remove the fo llowing parts:
fairing (page 13 -31.
fuel tank (page 4 -151.
exhaust system.

Disconnect the alternator wire coupler and neutral!
oil pressure switch wire coupler.
Remove the clutch slave cyl inder.
NOTE:
(2) A LTERNAT OR WIR E COUPLER

CL UTCH SLAV E CYLINDER
• It is not necessary to disconnect the clutch
oil line.
• To prevent the clutch system from air con­
tamination. and the slave cylinder piston
from falling, squeeze the clutch lever im­
mediately after removing the slave cylin ­
der, and tie the lever to the handle grip
with a string.
(2) GEAR$HI FT PEDAL
Remove the gearshift pedal.
