Cylinder Head/Valve Gear
K - Grind in valve/valve seat -arrows- with fine
grinding paste so as to obtain a proper con-
tact pattern.
- Inspect valve for leaks.
The inspection can be carried out with water
colour (proper contact pattern around entire cir-
cumference) or by pouring fuel into the com-
bustion chamber (no fuel must flow out at the
valve seat).
Note:
After installing the cylinder head, inspect hydrau-
lic bucket tappets ⇒ page 15-18.
