♦ insert bearing shells in the middle
♦ axial play
new part: 0.10 to 0.35 mm
wear limit: 0.40 mm

9 - 30 Nm + torque a further 90° (¼ turn)
♦ replace
♦ oil thread and head contact surface

♦ Feeler gauge
Inspection procedure
- Insert ring at right angles to cylinder wall, from
above as far as the lower cylinder opening,
about 15 mm away from edge of cylinder. To
insert use piston without rings.
