K Fig. 1 Marking top crankshaft bearing
The top bearing shells are allocated to the cyl-
inder block with the right thickness at the fac-
tory. Coloured points are used to mark the bear-
ing shell thickness.
Notes:
Arrow points in the driving direction
The letters on the sealing surface of the bottom
cylinder block mark, which bearing thickness
was applied on which point.

The letters
on the

block.

always supplied as replacement parts with
the colour coding “yellow”.
