Installing the fuel pump unit

Position the fuel pump unit (1) inside the fuel tank.
N.B.: apply a thin layer of silicon grease on the gas-
B kets before introducing them into the fuel pump
unit.
Screw on and tighten the 6 screws (2) through a
repeated action.
Torque pressure for the fuel pump flange
screws: 6÷8 N·m
Proceed with the re-assembly of the parts that have
been removed following the operations in reverse order
to disassembly, as described in chapter C "Bodywork".

• Side number holder
• Fuel tank side panels
• Saddle side panels
• Saddle
CHECK, DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY FUEL
PIPE FITTINGS
Check for leaks ➝
Carry out a visual check for eventual leakages from the
fuel feed tubing and the unions (see figure).
Substitute damaged parts if leaks or evaporation are
found.
Maintenance
First 1000 kilometres and then
every 6000 kilometres
