Turn the stem upside down and completely pour out
the oil into a suitable container.
Recover the oil in an appropriate container.
Do not dispose of the used oil in the environ-
ment.
During this phase also take the spring pre-load spacer
out (1).
Remove the central lower screw that fixes the damping

piston. Keep the sealing washer underneath.
When refitting, tighten at 35 N•m.
Pull out the damping piston.
Take care not to reverse the pumping elements on the
fork while fitting it back in, and configure as follows:
- Brake-pressing pumping element: fit on left leg.
- Brake-releasing pumping element: fit on right leg.
