Edit User Properties

Use the Properties button to open the Local User Properties page to make changes.
To Edit Local User Properties
1. On the Security > Local Users page, select the user you want to edit and click Properties.
2. On the Local User Properties page that opens, enter or change the following
information:
Option
Name
Full Name
Password
Password Verify
User ID (UID)

Description
Cannot be modified.
Use up to 49 alphanumeric characters (includes spaces). Input in this
field is optional.
Passwords are case-sensitive. Use up to 15 alphanumeric characters.
Leave this field blank to keep the existing password.
Type the chosen password again for verification. Leave this field blank
to keep the existing password.
Displays the user identification number assigned to this user. Alter as
necessary. For information on available UID ranges, see
Assignments" on page
7-3.
NOTE:
Changing a user's UID may alter filesystem access
permissions that apply to that UID. In addition, any existing
permissions for a UID previously assigned to a user that are
changed to a different UID may become active if another user
is created with the same UID. Carefully consider security
configuration on existing files and directories before changing
the UID of a user.
