Replacing Covers

1. To replace the side covers, do the following:
a. Insert the tabs on the side cover into the slots on the system unit.
b. Slide the cover toward the front of the system unit until the rear corner of the
c. Secure the rear of the cover with the screws removed earlier.
2. To replace the front cover, align the tabs on the front cover with the slots of the
extension on the bottom of the system unit. Push in the front cover at the top until it
is secure.
3. To replace the rear cover, align the tabs on the side covers with the slots on the
rear cover, and slide the cover down until it latches into place.
4. If the power cord is not plugged into the wall outlet, plug it in now.
5. If the system is not operating, press the power button on the operator panel once to
start the system.

System Management Guide: Operating System and Devices to configure the new
adapter or device. This publication is located on the AIX Documentation CD. Access the
documentation information by loading the documentation CD onto the hard disk or by
mounting the CD in the CD-ROM drive.
