When the Print Quality Is Low

Symptom
The printed output is too light.
The printed output is too dark.
The printed output is blurry.
There are dark specks or
spots throughout the printout.
White or black lines on the
printout.
CF2002/CF3102
Possible Cause
The copy density is set too
light.
The paper is damp.
The copy density is set too
dark.
The document is not
pressed tight enough
against the original glass.
The paper is damp.

The original glass is dirty.
The document pad is dirty.
The original is very thin or
highly translucent.
A double-sided document
is being copied.
The electrostatic charger is
dirty.

Remedy
Select a darker setting for the
"Density" parameter.

Replace the paper.

"Density" parameter.

Position the document so that
it is pressed tightly against
the original glass.

the copy. Select a lighter
