Quality Monitoring FAQs
Can the Quality Monitoring solution even work over VPN?
Yes, if the given port and protocol is allowed through the VPN.
Is there a limit to the number of Quality ports?
There is a MAXIMIUM of 120 ports that are licensed in Nortel Quality
Monitoring. This limit is per Nortel Quality Monitoring Server.
Can I change the name of the machine on which the Quality
Monitoring Server is installed?
Changing the server name is not recommended; it can create a number of
problems.
If, however a name change is necessary, you'll need to make the following
additional adjustments:
At the Client: Use the Sites application to update all the sites (including the
default one) to point to the new machine name. If the Server was also
defined as a Terminal (to test agent connections), you need to update the
terminal definition.
At the Agent: Update the registry entry storing the server name. Restart
machine (so the CaptureService can read the new data).
At the Server: Update the AVI and Voice URL in the server.ini. Restart the
WitnessService to apply the changes.
At the Contact Recorder: Update the Quality page to use the new server
name.
