Quality Monitoring in a Citrix Environment
Resolutions
On Windows 2000, Witness Capture
Service launches WCapW32 within the
agent's session when a monitor request is
sent.
Check the
'WitnessService_ClientConnection.log' on
the Thin Client Server, or the
WCapW32.log. Verify that the service or
the listener is attempting to start
WCapW32. Verify if WCapW32 is starting
or not.
Check the registry entry 'Capture Run Path'.
This entry should contain the full path to the
directory where WCapW32.exe is found.
Do not include the file name and do not
place a back-slash at the end of the string.
E.g.: C:\Witness
This indicates that the service attempted to
deliver the socket connection to
WCapW32.exe, however WCapw32 didn't
respond in time. Increase the time delay
value stored in the registry entry
'ServiceDelaySocketDelivery'. Default
value is 500 ms. Increase the number of
retries stored in the registry entry
'ServiceRetriesSocketDelivery'. Default is 5.
