Verifying the Installation
Also, be sure that the WitnessService was started after the DN/PositionID
was defined. The service "picks up" the list of DNs to be monitored when it
starts up; it is not dynamically updated.
Replay Issues
I get an ActiveMovie Error when replayng calls.
Errors in playback that indicate a problem with ActiveMovie are typically
caused by an incorrect user name and password for the database. Check the
definition of the System DSN created for the AVI conversion service,
QualityForAVI.
Voice is correct, but screen info is another agent's.
If there is a mismatch between the voice and screen data, either the Phone #
or PC name is incorrect. Be sure that the Agent definition in the Client is
correct.
Screen is correct, but there is no voice.
If you know that the call was properly recorded, be sure that the \voice
directory (fileshare) is properly defined on the Contact Recording Server
and that the fileshare has the appropriate permissions as shown in "Final
Steps for the Nortel Quality Monitoring Server Setup," on page 56.
Running the Nortel Quality Monitoring Server in Console Mode
When troubleshooting, you can run the Nortel Quality Monitoring Server in
Console Mode, which allows you to monitor the system while it is running.
In Console Mode, a program called 'kernel.exe' controls the Nortel Quality
Monitoring Server executables, which output operation feedback to the
Kernel window. You can stop and restart 'kernel.exe' without rebooting the
Nortel Quality Monitoring Server.
Note: Console Mode is generally only used during installation and setup of
the system for diagnostic purposes. Performance of the system is affected
and some features, such as Export via Email, may not be available when
running in Console Mode.It is not recommended for general use.
