Trend Hardkey

Scroll Bar

Trends: Trend Hardkey
configured to do so. Data from the previous patient is displayed with a dot
pattern in the background and cannot be viewed at the same time as current
patient data. The message PREVIOUS PATIENT appears above the scroll bar
when viewing previous patient data. Data in the NOW column are always from
the current patient.
This hardkey can be configured two ways: 1) to view mini trends or 2) to view full
trends. (The Trend hardkey must be configured in password-protected
configuration mode.) The trended information appears in either graphs or
numbers mode, whichever the default setting. The Trend hardkey—if configured
to full trends—opens the view patient trend screen. Pushing the hardkey again
closes the trends screen. If the Trend hardkey is configured to mini trends,
pushing the hardkey opens the mini trends screen at the bottom of the
waveform area in the main screen. Pushing the hardkey again closes mini
trends.
NOTE: The Trend hardkey (when configured to full trends) is unavailable if: 1)
the freeze feature is active or 2) an adjuster menu is open.
The scroll bar is positioned across the top of the 9 columns in the full trend
spreadsheet. It provides you with information about the data obtained in the
past 24 hours. If the 24-hour period includes parts of 2 days, a vertical line
signifies midnight of the previous day. A dense dot pattern in the scroll bar
indicates that data during that time period are from the current patient, and a
sparse dot pattern indicates that data are from the previous patient. A lack of
dot pattern indicates the time before the previous patient's data. An alarm bell
icon in the scroll bar lets you know that at least one data point trended around
that time was out of limits.
