This option is active in 5-electrode configuration. You can choose Lead I, II, III,
aVR, aVL, aVF or a single VA lead as the primary lead. The ECG waveform
derived from this lead is at the top of the screen, and the lead designation
appears above the waveform. The default primary lead is configurable in the
password-protected configuration mode and reverts back to the default setting
if discharging or admitting a patient. The default setting is Lead II.
This option is active in 5-electrode configuration. You can choose a secondary
lead from among I, II, III, aVR, aVL, aVF or a single VA, with the exception of the
lead you have designated as the primary lead. Or you can select None not to
display the secondary lead. The secondary lead waveform will be displayed
directly beneath the primary lead waveform but is viewable only when space is
available. (Five waveforms are viewable when mini trends is off and three are
viewable when mini trends is on; the secondary lead waveform has the lowest
priority for viewing.)
This option enables you to increase or decrease the size of all the ECG
waveforms displayed on the screen. This may be necessary when diagnosing or
problem solving. Normal size (1X) is recommended unless circumstances require
otherwise.
NOTES
If a size other than 1X is used, the size is displayed on the left side of the
screen next to the ECG waveform.
Size 2X will lower the QRS detection threshold. This may be helpful for low
amplitude QRS waveforms. Use with caution since baseline artifact may be
detected as a QRS.
Waveforms are recorded or printed the same size as displayed.
