Alarms: Adjust Alarms Menu
NOTE: If the alarm volume is set to 0, the message ALARM VOLUME OFF
appears on the screen.
This menu option lets you change the percentage used to adjust limits around
the patient's current condition. The percentage can be set to 20%, 30%, or 40%.
Once a selection is made, all alarm limits for the active parameters are changed,
except for SpO
.

When you choose this option, alarm limits are changed according to the last
known value for each parameter based on a percentage (see choose autoset %).
NOTES
Auto-set alarm limits are provided in each parameter section.
The only parameters listed in the Adjust alarms menu are those that are
currently active.
You cannot use the autoset all option to automatically set alarm limits for
SpO
.

These three options allow you to set alarm limits for individual parameters
automatically or manually.
NOTE: You cannot use the auto-set option to automatically set alarm limits
for SpO
.

How to set individual parameter alarms automatically
1.
Choose Adjust alarms menu.
2.
Choose the desired parameter.
3.
Choose auto-set. The chosen parameter's alarm limits are automatically set
around the patient's current values. The limits are based on the current
readings.
How to set individual parameter alarms manually
1.
Choose Adjust alarms menu.
2.
Choose the desired parameter.
3.
To adjust an alarm limit, move the pointer to the appropriate limit and push
the Trim Knob. A box appears around the limit.
