Using the Dash 2500 Patient Monitor: Hardkeys
When you push the Freeze hardkey and a waveform is available, a frozen
waveform appears in a popup window. The caret displayed in the popup
window along side the waveform indicates the point in time in which the
hardkey was pressed.
During a freeze when an ECG waveform is available, an event is stored in the
Patient Event History window. You can view the frozen ECG waveform at a later
time through the view event history option in the Main Menu. Intervals of time
are marked on all freeze recordings and appear as a dash at the top and bottom
of the recorder strip. These time markers are printed every 3 seconds. If the ECG
waveform is viewable when a limit or crisis alarm occurs (originating from either
the ECG or HR/Pulse parameter), a freeze of this waveform is initiated and stored
as part of its associated alarm event. To view this waveform and alarm
information, choose the View event history option in the Main Menu. If an alarm
occurs when a freeze is on the screen, the Monitor collects and stores the alarm
data in event history.
NOTE: The Freeze hardkey is unavailable if no waveforms are available to
freeze.
How to freeze a waveform
1. Push the Freeze hardkey to capture a waveform on the screen. A waveform
appears in a popup window at the bottom of the screen and the View
frozen waveforms menu appears.
NOTES
If an adjuster menu item is open, you must first close that option, and
then choose the View frozen waveforms selection that appears in the
SelectBox.
The View frozen waveforms menu is accessed only by pressing the
Freeze hardkey.
2. Choose the desired menu options.
a. Choose the Waveforms to view option for a list of all active
parameters capable of displaying a waveform.
b. Choose the print this waveform option to print a frozen waveform
from the Recorder. (Available when the printer is not busy.)
c. Choose the print all waveforms option to print all frozen waveforms
listed in the Waveforms to View option. (Available when the printer is
not busy.)
3. To exit, choose go to main menu or push the Freeze hardkey.
