The SpO
parameter in the Dash 2500 Patient Monitor is available in two

different leading technologies: NELLCOR

Functional oxygen saturation (SpO
2500 Patient Monitor by a pulse oximetry parameter that provides continuous,
noninvasive measurements of SpO
plethysmographic waveform, and a signal strength bar. The signal strength bar
is an indication of the confidence associated with the saturation measurement
and timing of the pulse. To begin SpO

Functional SpO
is the ratio of oxygenated hemoglobin to hemoglobin that is

capable of transporting oxygen. This ratio, expressed as a percentage, is shown
in the SpO
field of the screen and is updated with each heart beat. The

percentage of SpO
is also indicated by a pulse tone that is activated by the
2
Adjust QRS volume option in the HR/Pulse menu. The pitch frequency of the
tone is proportional to the oxygen saturation value: highest at 100% saturation
and lower as the level of saturation falls.
Pulse Rate derived from SpO
View SpO2 PR? option is set to yes:
When pulse rate (PR) is derived from SpO

NOTE: Unless PR is the source for the HR/Pulse, it is only trended when the
