system must only be used by persons who have received
adequate training in the use of such equipment and who are
capable of applying it properly.
The Monitor should only be used on one patient when
monitoring, the simultaneous use of other patient of the
equipment may cause safety hazard.

and unplug the power cord.
You can perform most functions on the Dash 2500 Patient Monitor by using
menus, which appear on the left side of the screen. The Main Menu options and
their major functions are shown in the following figure. When you choose
options from the Main Menu, you gain access to secondary menus that provide
you with additional options for setting monitoring parameters and managing
patient data.
NOTES
You can access the Main Menu by pushing or turning the Trim Knob. Some
events will also cause the Main Menu to automatically appear.
The menu on the screen automatically closes if there has been no user-
interaction for 2 minutes. However, the menu stays open if: 1) the SelectBox
is active, 2) the freeze feature is active, 3) a monitor mode temperature
determination is in progress, or 4) an adjuster menu option is open.
Pushing and holding the Trim Knob for 2 seconds closes the menu as long
as: 1) the SelectBox is not active, 2) the Freeze hardkey is not active, 3) a
monitor mode temperature determination is not in progress, or 4) an
adjuster menu is not open.
Instructions for the go to standby option and for turning off the Monitor are
in this section of the manual. Instructions for the other menu options are in
sections dealing specifically with their function.
