After configuring your custom steps, choose start custom to begin your custom
auto BP mode determinations. Custom now appears next to the Auto BP option
and an elliptic circle appears in the NIBP vitals signs area indicating custom auto
BP mode. If you switch NIBP modes and then wish to resume to your custom
auto BP mode, choose the custom selection from the Auto BP menu option.
Once chosen, the start custom menu option changes to the stop custom
option. To cancel the custom mode, choose stop custom from the setup custom
series menu. To stop a single custom determination, push the NIBP Go/Stop
hardkey. As the Monitor completes each step, the completed step turns green
and becomes unselectable (in the menu options).
This option lets you set time-cycled (auto mode) NIBP determinations.
Measurements will occur at intervals of 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 4 min, 5 min, 10
min, 15 min, 20 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, or 120 minutes. You can choose
manual to return to manual determinations. Or, you can also choose custom to
activate the user-defined auto mode (to configure custom selection, choose
setup custom series). In auto mode, determinations are synchronized with the
system clock giving the user the convenience of having the readings fall on
every quarter-hour, half-hour, and hour, etc., depending upon the time interval
setting. For example, if the current time was 8:07 and 15 min is chosen for the
Auto BP option, after the first auto determination, other auto determinations
would be started at 8:15, 8:30, 8:45, 9:00. The only time interval not synched to
the clock is 1 min. If you choose 120 min, the auto determinations fall every en-
numbered hours: 12:00, 2:00, 4:00, etc.
NOTES
To cancel the determination in progress, push the NIBP Go/Stop hardkey. To
cancel auto mode, choose manual.
The custom menu option is not selectable if a custom determination is
active or if no steps have been configured; however, you can still open the
Auto BP extended menu.
Because determinations are synchronized with the system clock, you may
receive one extra determination when in auto mode.
