When I enter a patient's full name on the CIC, why does it become
automatically truncated?
The Dash 2500 monitor can accept a patient name up to 20 characters.
Whatever truncation occurs on the Dash 2500 monitor is reflected on the CIC,
display the first 13 characters.
How to identify the duplicate bed number in CIC?
Duplicated Unit/Bed will cause chaos in Unity network. When a duplication is
detected while a Dash 2500 monitor is admitted into Unity network, this newly
admitted monitor will automatically change its bed number to 'Dxx' (the xx is a
two-digit number starts from 01). So when the bed number 'Dxx' is found on
either CIC or Dash 2500 monitor, the user shall check and manually change the
monitor's bed number to another unique bed number in this care unit, then
power recycle the monitor.
NOTES
Do not set the Bed number 'Dxx' at any time, it's reserved as a signal for
duplicate situation.
Do not leave Unit number and Bed number as blank in monitor. Or else, the
blank Unit/Bed number will be displayed as 'nounit', 'noname' on CIC. It is
recommended to always pre-set Unit/Bed number on Dash 2500 monitor in
the configuration mode for each patient type. Please refer to the Dash 2500
Patient Monitor Service Manual (PN 2042481-001) for more information.
How do I print to a network printer from the Dash 2500 monitor?
The CIC allows you to print to network printers from the Dash 2500 monitor.
Once the graph setup tab has been configured in the CIC, select print to CS in
Other System Settings menu on the Dash 2500 monitor.
NOTE: You cannot print from the CIC to the Dash 2500 monitor.
Why do the temperature values in the CIC vary from the Dash 2500 monitor?
Temperature values in degrees Fahrenheit on the CIC may vary slightly from the
displayed value on the Dash 2500 monitor due to the conversion process.
What does a flashing red MAP value on the float display mean?
A flashing red MAP # in the parameter area at the float display can indicate
either a NIBP MAP limit alarm or an NIBP HR limit alarm. Refer to the Dash 2500
monitor to determine which alarm condition exists.
What happens to patient trends on the Dash 2500 monitor if a patient is
admitted remotely?
Any patient trends are lost when a remote admit patient is performed. If you
wish to ensure that patient trends collected in a discharged mode are retained,
perform the admit patient on the Dash 2500 monitor and select retain trends.
Why don't I see NIBP HR trended?
The CIC trends NIBP-derived heart rate in the Vital Signs tab only when no other
HR source is active.
