– Tilt out the brake light -2- slightly in the direction of arrow -A-
and remove from the spoiler in direction of arrow -B-, taking
connected wiring lengths into consideration.
Note
After removing the light, the wiring must be cut (if there is no con‐
nector directly on the light) and the wiring must be reconnected
with the "auxiliary measuring set" when the original/new light is
installed.
Install
Install in the reverse order of removal. When doing this, note the
following:
– Check gasket for light for damage.
– If the wiring was cut when the light was removed, reconnect
the wiring using the "auxiliary measuring set".
– Observe the tightening torque of the screws (see
⇒ page 112 ).
– Variant 2 - Seal the pierced foil/caps with a piece of standard
impermeable adhesive tape.
– Perform a functional test.
