3 DISPLAY

The transceiver has the following display and indicator.
LED (TX/Busy)

LCD Display

Backlight

3.1 BUSY LED

The BUSY LED lights green when receiving the
following signals.
Receiving a carrier in the Conventional Group
Receiving Data in PC Mode, Firmware
Programming Mode and Clone Mode.
You can configure the Busy LED to light when
receiving a carrier in Conventional Group using KPG-
89D.
You can configure the TX LED and BUSY LED to light
to communicate in Emergency Mode using KPG-89D.

Configuring the TX LED and the Busy LED to
light in Emergency Mode (Refer to 6.14.3
Emergency LED.)

3.2 TX LED

The TX LED lights red when transmitting in the
following situations.
Transmitting in Conventional Group and Trunking
System
Transmitting Data in PC Mode, Firmware
Programming Mode, or Clone Mode.
You can configure the TX LED and the BUSY LED to
light to communicate in Emergency Mode using KPG-
89D.

3.3 LCD Display
The LCD Display of the transceiver is as follows.

3.3.1 Backlight
(TK-2180/3180 only)
The backlight LEDs are located behind the LCD and
the Keypad. You can see the LCD using the backlight
in dark places or at the night.
Press the PF Backlight key to light the backlight LED.
