Removing a riser-card assembly

Use this information to remove a riser-card assembly.

To remove a riser-card assembly, complete the following steps:
Step 1.
Read the safety information that begins on page "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on
page 305.
Step 2.
Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cord and all external cables.
Step 3.
Remove the top cover (see "Removing the top cover" on page 162).
Step 4.
Grasp the blue touch-points on the front and the rear side of the riser-card assembly; then, lift it up
to remove it from the server. Place the riser-card assembly on a flat, static-protective surface.
