Wiring for RS485-Communication Terminals

The 3G3RX2 Series has an RS485 communications capability that enables the inverter to communi-
cate with an external controller from its RS485 communications terminal block on the control terminal
block PCB.
For the communications protocol, the inverter supports the Modbus communication.
This section describes the wiring procedure for the RS485 communications terminal block and the
installation of the terminating resistor.

A terminal which enables internal terminating resistor (100Ω).
The internal terminating resistor can be enabled when you con-
nect – side of RS485 communication sending/receiving terminal
(for connecting terminating resistor) to RP.
You can connect a signal ground of an external communication
device. (Also for FM terminal)
