The Interface Configuration commands allow you to configure parameters for
each port, such as speed and duplex mode. The Interface Configuration mode is
also referred to as config-if mode.

You can see a specific value for each command mode at the prompt line, and you
can use specific commands to enter or exit each command mode
(Table
20).
Additionally, you can only enter command modes from specific modes and only
exit to specific command modes.
