Removal and Replacement

5.9 Hard Disk Drive Cover

Perform the following procedure to remove the hard disk drive cover:
1. Extend the chassis for service (see Section 5.2).
2. Loosen the two captive screws
Figure 5-8).
3. Lift the right side of the hard disk drive cover and slide the cover to the right until the two
tabs on the left side of the cover come out of the two slots in the chassis and remove the
cover (see Figure 5-8).
To replace the hard disk drive cover, refer to Figure 5-8 and reverse steps 1 through 3 of the
removal procedure.
