Directions to Perform All Functions Available on AJ-PISI
NOTE
1. Enter Y in the Summary file figures field to accumulate workload statistics.
Leave this field blank or enter N if you do not wish to accumulate statistics.
The accumulated data will also be automatically downloaded to a UNIX file in
the directory specified in the UNIX d'load path field.
The default directory displayed here can be amended via the AJ-PISI entry on
the SP-S screen. The name of the downloaded file will be of the format
PISIdownloadCIPxxxxYYYY.txt where CIP is the system cipher and
xxxxYYYY is the accumulated years range, e.g. 20072008. The first record in
the file will contain column header labels to aid interpretation.
All the data records in the file will contain a total count of transactions per
action date/user ID/application code/action code combination.
2. Enter the accumulated year dates in the Accumulated Figures Exist field to
delete accumulated data no longer required. Leave this field blank if you do
not wish to delete any figures.
3. Enter P to request a Performance Indicator report, or S to request a Service
Indicator report in the Choice field.
If you have requested a Performance Indicator report:
4. Enter the period the report is to cover in the From and To fields.
5. For users, you can do one of the following:
• Print a report on a specific member of staff by entering the user ID in
• Access a pop-up box from the User field to select multiple user IDs.
• Enter Y in the All field if you require a report on all members of staff.
6. Specify the applications for which you wish to produce a report. To request a
report on every application listed, enter Y in the All field. To request specific
applications, enter Y next to the application Id.
7. Enter a valid UNIX path in the UNIX d'load path field at the bottom of the
screen if you wish the performance indicator figures to be downloaded to
UNIX rather than obtain a printed report. Two files will be produced:
• PISIPerformanceDownloadXXXccyymmddhhmmss.txt
• PISIPerformanceParametersXXXccyymmddhhmmss.txt
where XXX is the NHAIS system cipher and ccyymmddhhmmss is the date
and time that the job was run.
8. The first file will contain the performance indicator data for the selection
criteria entered. The file will consist of a header record followed by a number
