AJ-OSMR – New Outstanding Medical Record Report
Reports produced by AJ-OSMR will help you monitor the number of outstanding
medical records at your organisation and plan future work requirements.
Use the AJ-OSMR screen to:
• Request a count/print of outstanding medical records by GP, partnership or
organisation (HA, PCT, etc.).
NOTE
• Set parameters to restrict the report or request a full report.
• Select the print sequence.
• Queue the analysis job for processing.
Count
A single page print totalling the number of outstanding medical records for the
selected criteria.
Totals are listed beneath time bands, starting at 3 weeks and ending at 50+ weeks.
Medical records which have been outstanding for less than 3 weeks will not be
included.
Email
The count information (described above) can be sent as an email attachment to a
chosen recipient, which you can specify using the Unix Dir./Email Address field.
Print
The total number of outstanding medical records listed in the print is included on the
header page. Outstanding medical record details for the selected GP, partnership or
organisation will be printed on a separate page together with some basic patient
details. The number of weeks each patient's record has been outstanding is shown on
the far right.
Two NHS numbers may be shown for a patient:
• The 'Act. NHS No' is the active NHS number, and is used to identify the
patient on the live or deducted database.
• The 'Alt. NHS No.' is the patient's alternative NHS number, and is displayed
for information only.
If there are no outstanding medical records, the following header message will be
printed 'GRAND TOTAL OF OUTSTANDING MEDICAL RECORDS – 0'.
An alternative print format is available if a print, including information regarding
outstanding medical records by HA or Q code, is directed to a laser printer. This
format will include NHS number barcodes and contain a trailer record rather than a
header page.
The organisation is selected via the OC screen.
