Registration Reference Manual
AJ-WRNG – Identify Patients on the Wrong NHAIS
System
AJ-WRNG is designed to be run on an ad hoc basis and will allow you to gather
information, either by count or in detail, about patients who will need to be
transferred to their 'housing' NHAIS system.
The intention is that the whole of any GP practice's list will be housed on one, and
only one, NHAIS system (excluding GP practices which straddle the Welsh/Scottish
border).
NOTE
Patients who are registered with Welsh/Scottish GP practices will not be
reported as part of this process.
Using AJ-WRNG
The request screen for this job is called up by entry of a key of AJ and a qualifier of
WRNG.
The screen allows you to request either a counts run or a detail run. You are then able
to select either all the housing registration systems or a selection of up to five ciphers.
If you do not enter any housing registration ciphers and wish to enter GP practice
codes instead, you can enter up to five practice codes. These must have a housing
cipher which is different from your home NHAIS cipher.
If you request a counts run, you must enter an email address to which the report will
be sent as an attachment. This is not required for a counts run. The attachment will
be called:
xxx_wrong_database_counts_ddmmyyyyhhmmss.txt
where xxx is your home NHAIS system cipher.
This is a tilde (~) separated file.
If you request a detail run, you must enter a Unix path into which the file containing
patient details will be written. This is not required for a counts run. The file will be
called:
xxx_wrong_database_detail_ddmmyyyyhhmmss.txt
again, where xxx is your home NHAIS system cipher.
