Download Data Layout
After the job has run to a successful conclusion, a Unix file or a text file attached to
an email will be created. The layout for output file (for both Unix and the email
attachment) is as follows.
NOTE
The tilde character '~' is used as the field delimiter in all cases.
Header Record
There is one header record in the download file.
Field No. Description
1) System cipher
2) Date of run
3) Time of run
The following fields are mostly as entered on the request screen.

4) NHAIS system update date from
5) NHAIS system update date to
6–10) NHS Nos.
11–18) PCO Codes
19–25) User IDs
26–34) Applications
35) Report type – 'List' or 'Summary'
36) If this is a summary report, is will be summarised by either 'PCO',
Column Headings Record (List Report Only)
If you chose to produce a list report, a column headings record – of which there is one
only – will follow the header record.
The column headings record is included to assist in the use of the output file within
other applications, such as spreadsheets, because there are so many columns of data
within the file.
The text within each field will obviously be appropriate to the field data shown below
in the list report detailed records layout.
